We require graduation from high school with a standard diploma or its equivalent.
Graduates of public high schools and GED recipients whose diplomas are recognized as "equivalent" diplomas by the Department of Education in the state awarded meet this requirement. Graduates of accredited private high schools and home school programs also meet this requirement if their high school's accreditation is awarded by (1) an accrediting organization recognized by the United States Department of Education, (2) the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA), or (3) the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA).
Admission to Jones College is selective and is designed to reflect a student’s probable success.
All applicants are required to have a telephone or in-person pre-admission interview. After all required information is received and reviewed; the applicant will be informed of their acceptance or non-acceptance.
Applicants who are reentering and who are denied admission may make a written request for a waiver. If granted, the applicant will be required to be on Academic Counseling status until the applicant has demonstrated his or her probability for success.
Students with special needs should contact the Director of Admissions to determine how they can be reasonably accommodated during the admissions and enrollment process.
